My name is Tanya.
Creation energises me and exploring the wonders of life, whatever direction they take, simply creates an individual, unparalleled adventure. There is no requirement to stay stuck in one aspect of yourself - I somehow continued to travel on a path that did not resonate with my personality and my gifts for far too long.
What is my art style? Well, I'm influenced by so many things. With a love for Italian Renaissance architecture, Dutch flower paintings, Asian architecture, embroidery and carvings, texture, fabrics, nature…anything second hand, beautiful paper and packaging, felt tip pens, French handpainted toleware trays, mangos and fish being dried in the sun……everything imprints itself in some way on my life.
We are all more than one thing. My painting style is a culmination of experiences and is ever evolving.
I have a BFA in Interior Architecture, I have lived and worked in the USA, Europe and Asia, own a Muay Thai gym, ride a Vespa and have now embraced Art as my main focus.
I am excited to share my work with you, as a member of my print club, commissions, or simply through instagram.
